Last year I was just too dang busy with wedding plans to make any New Year's resolutions, so I am starting early this year to make up for my lack of resolution in 2010. However, my goal lists tend to be a little...er...unrealistic. Usually, my resolution list has no less than 20 impossible goals on it. Every year, I put a great deal of thought and work into my list, just to end up bewildered because I can't make it past January 2nd without failing to meet one of my goals.
So, for 2011, here are my 10 realistic and attainable goals:
1. Don't make the bed everyday. Only make it when you have time or feel like it.
2. Take at least 4 naps per month. Minimum.
3. Eat poorly a few times a week.
4. Curse loudly when you stub your toe, run into your coffee table, or when you can't find something.
5. Take at least 1 day off to do nothing except enjoy yourself.
6. Blow your weekly budget on something fun & frivolous at least once in 2011.
7. Go to the grocery store in your work out clothes every week to make people think you exercise, but don't actually work out.
8. Ignore your blog for 6-7 months at a time.
9. Pretend like you are concentrating really hard on something at work while reading a blog or typing a personal e-mail.
10. Lie about your weight when you get your new driver's license with your married name on it.
