So, I got a birthday call from my brother yesterday. After all of the birthday pleasantries, we got down to business. Small business to be exact. While I am attempting to build a cookie empire, my brother has taken the hot sauce/spice world by storm!
He's created Banjamin's Elixir--a super duper hot concoction made with the ghost pepper. The ghost pepper is the hottest pepper known, even hotter the fire alarm setting habenero. Bold move, muchacho.
The fact that he's drawn to such a blistering pepper is no surprise to me. We grew up in New Orleans, where all things hot are always exponentially hotter...the weather, the food, and the music.
